DBA

Responsibility:

• Manage and maintain the MySQL or Oracle database
• Write logical and physical database descriptions including locations, space, access method and security
• Establish and calculate optimum values for database parameters to improve the performance of the database
• Review project request describing database users needs, estimating time and cost required to accomplish project
• Participate in formulating and implementing database architecture, database standards, database policies
• Review and update procedures/schema in database management system document
• Initiate backup and recovery, performance tuning, space management, database security and troubleshooting on the database
• Assist with in-house application development, and provide database technical consulting and leadership in database architecture and technologies to both application developers and end-users
• Evaluate and recommend new releases and fix requirements

Qualification:

• Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• At least 2~3 years solid DBA experience in MySQL or Oracle
• Demonstrated ability to design, build and support large, complex and centralized/distributed databases
• Detailed knowledge in data architecture, database design and database technologies
• Ability to effectively communicate database technology concepts
• Experience in data modeling, replication or stored procedures development is a plus
• Experience on Linux/Unix platform is a plus
• OOP/OOD
